Ski Sundown - New Hartford Connecticut

In addition to our Kids Vacation and Weekend Programs, Ski Sundown offers 1-1/2 hour group lessons on a "walk-in" basis on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays, including December Vacation Week (December 26-January 1) and February Vacation Week (February 18-22) for children ages 4 and older of any skill level. Through games and exercises with toys and props, your child will experience fun and laughter and the thrill of skiing with our specially trained children's instructors. Whether it's their first time on skis or they're skiing the whole mountain children are placed in small groups based upon their age and skill levels.

Kids just want to have fun and we're committed to providing a fun-filled 4-day vacation program for any level skier or snowboarder! Whether they're just beginning or tearing it up, they'll laugh their way through four great days of discovery. Our professionals will group kids of similar age and ability and explore the mountain for 2-1/2 hours of fun-filled learning. Groups ski together, take a break for a snack together and have fun together!

Let's face it, kids can never have enough fun and our popular Weekend Adventures ski and snowboard programs are designed with fun in mind! Children are grouped by age and skill level, so they can make new friends while they learn! Whether they're new to skiing or snowboarding or exploring more challenging terrain, kids at any level will develop their skiing skills and snowboarding skills in this fun-filled program. Each session includes five 2-1/2 hour lessons, a lift pass and snack. (A 6th week has been added for any student missing a lesson during the first 5 weeks of the program)

Terrain parks and features are the rage and kids want to be in them! Our dedicated terrain park crew maintains two parks that invite skiers and snowboarders of all abilities to progress their skills. Introductory features can be found in the park at our Sunnyside Learning Area and more advanced features in the park on our Stinger trail. Whether your 'tween or teen is just learning to make his or her way over a box rail or hammering kickers all day, our talented group of freestyle instructors and guest coaches provide high level instruction, fun and excitement in this revolutionary aspect of winter sports!

If sliding rails, shooting gaps and slaying boxes like a video star sounds cool than this "new school" program is IT! Straight from the professionals who ride the parks everyday, this program will utilize Ski Sundown's entry level and advanced terrain parks and explore all aspects of park riding including park safety and etiquette. Each session includes five 2-1/2 hour lessons, a lift pass and snack. (A 6th week has been added for any student missing a lesson during the first five weeks of the program)

December Jib Camp

With expert coaching by Max Kuszaj (look for his segment in Warren Miller's new flick Playground) and Chris Beresford (sponsored by Option Snowboards and K2), participants are sure to receive the highest level of instruction available in Southern New England early in the season! Now in its 3rd season, this 2-day jib camp, personalized to each participant, gives skiers and riders an opportunity to kick off their winter and look good in the park all season! Each day includes coaching, videography and lunch. Lift pass not included. Must have own equipment and helmets are required.

When school's out for the day, kids just want to play and what better way than to have fun on our mountain playground! After school skiing and snowboarding provides healthy physical activity, an opportunity to hang with friends and meet new ones. Choose the day of the week that doesn't conflict with extracurricular activities! The Club Sundown Lift Pass from 3:30pm to 7:00pm is available for any one age 7 & older and that includes Moms and Dads, too! Optional lessons for ages 8 to 17 are 1 hour each week from 4:30pm to 5:30pm

Attention Parents! NEW THIS SEASON! Choose a weekday and come ski with your child after school. Our Club Sundown 6-week Lifts Only Pass from 3:30-7pm is available to anyone age 7 & older!
