If you're new to skiing or snowboarding we want you to have the best experience while you are at Ski Sundown! As you cross the footbridge from the parking lot, you'll find numbered signs directing you to the following locations and what you'll need to do...

WELCOME CENTER DESK

— purchase your 1st Time Ski or Snowboard Package inside the base lodge at the Welcome Center desk. You receive a lift/lesson/rental ticket. Please ask for assistance if you are unsure of how to attach the ticket to your clothing.

RENTAL SHOP

— proceed to the Rental Shop entrance located across from the ticket windows. Complete your rental form at the counters located just inside the door. If under 18, a parent or legal guardian must also sign. A photo I.D. is required. Click here to download the Equipment Rental & Liability Release Agreement.

BOOT PICK-UP

— based on the information you entered on your rental form, a technician will select the proper size boot for you.

FITTING AREA

— try on your boots. They should be snug but not tight. If you are unsure about the fit, ask any employee for assistance. Space is available in this area for you to leave your shoes.

SKIS & POLES/SNOWBOARD

— based on the information you entered on your rental form, a technician will set your bindings and give you your skis or snowboard. On your way outside, you will be given the proper size poles.

YOUR LESSON

— outside the Rental Shop exit you will be greeted by a Ski & Snowboard School staff member who will assign you to a class. Relax and enjoy your lesson!

RENTAL RETURN

— once you are finished using your rental equipment, please enter the Rental Shop through the door marked Rental Return and hand your equipment to an employee behind the counter.

CONGRATULATIONS!

You are on your way to a lifetime of skiing or snowboarding fun! Your lift ticket is valid on the conveyor lift and the double and triple chairlifts at the Sunnyside Learning Area servicing Little Joe, Breezeway, S'no Way, Sensation and Big Bend. It is the area in front of you as you exit the Rental Shop with your equipment. Your lift ticket is valid for 8 hours from the time it is first scanned at the lift. On your next visit, we recommend that you take an ALL MOUNTAIN PACKAGE. This package includes a lift ticket good on all lifts, rental equipment and a lesson at your ability level.
